Happy 1 month, Baby Kieane =)

Opps, it's been so long since i updated the blog about Kieane's progress. Too happy and busy with him till I hardly have time to blog (liar, can play sims social still) heehee... anyway I'm very very happy that baby Kieane is so well-loved by everyone and the little jiejie and korkor adore him too =) Kieane is progress well too, and he has put on some weight since birth. I'm pretty effected that Kieane was born rather smaller than expected, but I'm glad he's HEALTHY.. seeing him growing up each day and the face changes makes me feel all the hardwork is worth it. Special thanks to my lovely and super 24/7 mom for her help during my pregnacy and confinement period. She's still gonna part big role in Kieane n my life in the days to come =) She's helped me took care of Kieane when he's grouchy, and those sleepy nights. She also taught me many tricks of handling Kieane, am very grateful to her...

I did mentioned in my previous blog that I wanna share my birth process with all of u. Yes, now I'm going to share it. I had my last checkup on the 28th Oct and my gynae mentioned that I had some dilation and he will expect Kieane to come earlier n he wants me to watch out for it. And true enough, after the checkup that day, I felt funny when I reached home and have difficulties slpping during my noon nap. I have this weird feeling inside my tummy and I'm unsure whether is it contraction. The weird came at irregular basis and it doesn't feel like 100x painful than menses cramp. I assume could be some funny moves that Kieane is practising that causes the funny feeling. Till night, I hardly have any appetite for dinner and finally my lovely get me some porridge to fill my stomach.

In the middle of the night, my tummy starts to get the tightening feeling more n more intense and more regular. By 3am, the tightening feeling came every 2-3 minutes, thats when I start to worry and confirm that it might be contraction. I monitored the feeling for an hour and I went back to slp and the feeling came again at 5am. From then, I hold the feeling till the morning  and call my gynae. He advised me to go to the labour ward straight. During the journey to the hospital, my tummy feels alright, and I'm worried it could be a false alarm. Nevertheless, we still go to the labour after consulting the nurses at my gynae's clinic. The nurses at the labour was wondering n asked me, am I sure I'm having contraction? If I'm having contraction, I shouldn't be able to walk around...hahaha, I told her I'm not sure either =)

At the labour ward, the nurses monitored my contraction and baby heartbeat thru CTG scanning. I was advised to take epidural though I don't really need it. The nurse told me that my gynae wants me to take it to reduce the pain and feel more comfortable, so no choice I have to take it. So at 2pm, I had my epidural and I was resting in the labour ward comfortable and waited for my gynae arrival. Finally, Dr Nair came to visit me at ard 4/5pm and checked on my condition. He let me have inductiont thru IV drip called Pitocin but there were no signs of dilation. He burst my water bag and wants me to continue to wait. After waited for 11hrs, he advised me that I have to go for C-section delivery. I go ahead with it. 9.30pm, some nurses came into the labour n get me ready for the C-section operation. By 9.50pm, we were all ready and inside the operation thearter.

Finally, the moment of my life arrived. At 10.07pm, my precious Kieane baby was in my arms! The happiest moment of my life. I cried, I started tearing when I saw Kieane. Frankly, throughout the whole birthing process, I don't feel any discomfort except when I'm taking my epidural. It's such wonderful process. After Kieane arrived, I had my stiches and I had a nap during that period. All my family members were waiting for me inside the room for me. They were with me for awhile and they left.
